COFCO’s www.womai.com is awarded the Best Food Shopping Website Prize during the shopping website ranking event for 2009-2010 organized by China E-Commerce Research Center.
The event took over two months to finish the ranking through a series of scientific investigation and evaluation methodology. A total of 165 E-commerce businesses covering a wide range of industries nudged into the final round.
As GM of the website’s online marketing department said, the prize is recognition of the website’s growth and performance. The number of orders placed to the website reached a record high, with the non-holiday volume exceeding the pre-Spring-Festival peak volume. In responding to such growth, the website improved its storage and logistics system, upgrading warehouses and streamlining stock readiness and delivery timeliness. This shortens the delivery time and ensures freshness and health of deliveries.
As industry experts said, the number of online consumers and the transaction volume increased fast in 2009, stimulating traditional intermediaries and E-businesses to improve product quality, technology, platform development, payment terms, storage and logistics, and after sales service to expand online business.
