COFCO Trust Co., Ltd. and BMO Financial Group of Canada initiated cooperation in strategic investment across the board on August 22, 2012.
Following the agreement signed, BMO Financial Group subscribed to 19.99% shares of COFCO Trust Co., Ltd.
The two parties will optimize the corporate governance of COFCO Trust Co., Ltd. and strengthen its core competitiveness. They will also help BMO Financial Group play a better role in China’s financial market and strengthen its investment management capacity. This win-win arrangement will make the two parties share resources in wealth management, product design, risk control, equity investment, talent development, etc.
