A ceremony was held for completing the main body of COFCO Chaoyang Joy City in Beijing Xinghewan Stadium on June 30 and a news conference was also held for introducing the project to potential tenants at the same time.
As Mr. Shi Zhuowei, Vice President of COFCO and Chairman of COFCO Commercial Properties Investment Co., Ltd., said during the ceremony, completion of the COFCO Chaoyang Joy City project would greatly improve commercial facilities in the Chaoqing Business District and the life quality of residents in the community.
COFCO Chaoyang Joy City is the flagship of COFCO’s Joy City projects. Its total floor area exceeds 400,000 m2 230,000 m2 of which serve as shopping mall and 70,000 m2 of which serve as serviced apartments. The shopping mall is built to feature high quality life and tasteful fashion, which will integrates shopping, dining, entertainment, culture and fitness facilities.
With its main body completed, COFCO Chaoyang Joy City is open to tenants. There already have been five big brand tenants having signed contracts and over 20 big brands having built strategic partnership.
The COFCO Chaoyang Joy City project is thoroughly managed by COFCO Commercial Properties Investment Co., Ltd. which operates on the whole value chain basis, i.e., managing each and every link from land purchase through construction to tenant contracting and operation. It is COFCO’s first urban complex project and will be open on May 1 next year.
Ms. Wu Guiying, Deputy Director of Chaoyang District, and Mr. Han Shi, General Manager of COFCO Commercial Properties Investment Co., Ltd., attended the ceremony and news conference. Over 150 brand representatives and over 60 media also attended.
